Following the Cosmic Clock: Sun, Moon, and Planets

ree

We usually think of time as something fixed. We say: one day is 24 hours, one week is 7 days, one year is 365 days. We follow the calendar and the clock. But in reality, time comes from the movement of nature: the Sun, the Moon, and the planets.

In the ancient world, people looked at the sky to measure time. They saw that the Sun rises and sets, the Moon grows and disappears, and the stars move in the night. For them, the day was not only “24 hours.” The “astrological day” started with the sunrise, and the planet that ruled the first hour of sunlight gave the name to that day.

This is why every day of the week has a planet behind it, and a special energy

Planetary hours

Each day is divided into 24 planetary hours. The first hour after sunrise is ruled by the day’s main planet. Then the planets follow in a fixed sequence: Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, repeating until 24 hours are complete.

Example – Monday (Moon):

  • 1st hour: Moon

  • 2nd hour: Saturn

  • 3rd hour: Jupiter

  • 4th hour: Mars…and so on. The cycle repeats through all 24 hours

People in ancient times and even today sometimes follow planetary hours for special activities:

  • Starting a business or signing contracts during a Jupiter hour for luck.

  • Love rituals or dates during Venus hours.

  • Meditation or spiritual work during Saturn or Moon hours.

Even modern astrology apps and some spiritual traditions still calculate planetary hours to choose the best time for actions.

The days of the week and their planets

  • Monday – Moon The Moon is about emotions, care, and sensitivity. It is a good day to rest, listen to yourself, take a massage, or spend time with family.

  • Tuesday – Mars Mars is energy, action, and courage. Perfect for sport, training, starting a project, or solving problems with strength.

  • Wednesday – Mercury Mercury is communication, thinking, and learning. A good day for study, writing, teaching, meetings, or organizing work.

  • Thursday – Jupiter Jupiter is wisdom, growth, and abundance. This is a lucky day for making plans, signing contracts, learning philosophy, or even shopping for something important.

  • Friday – Venus Venus is love, beauty, and harmony. A wonderful day for relationships, art, music, shopping for clothes, or enjoying a romantic dinner.

  • Saturday – Saturn Saturn is discipline, order, and responsibility. A good day to clean the house, finish tasks, work with patience, or meditate deeply.

  • Sunday – Sun The Sun is life, joy, and creativity. The best day to be outside, do creative work, play, meet friends, or spend time in nature

Living with natural time

If we connect with the planets and their days, life feels more balanced. Instead of thinking only of the clock, we can feel the natural rhythm of the week. Each day has its own “color” and energy, and we can live better when we follow it.

So ask yourself: which planet is guiding your day today?
